Before becoming a psychotherapist, I worked as a physiotherapist for over 20 years. During that time, I witnessed the remarkable connection between physical and emotional well-being and became increasingly curious about the factors that influence healing beyond the body alone.
My own experiences of burnout and overcoming several health challenges deepened this curiosity and led me to explore the powerful relationship between the mind, body, and nervous system. Through this journey, I learnt to understand how stress, unprocessed emotions and life experiences can shape both our physical and emotional health.
I also recognised how difficult many people find it to identify, understand, and express their emotions. Often, we learn to cope by pushing through, staying busy, or putting others' needs before our own, leaving us feeling disconnected from ourselves.
These experiences inspired me to retrain as an Integrative Psychotherapist and Counsellor. Today, I combine my healthcare background with psychotherapy, attachment theory, somatic approaches, breathwork, and nervous system-informed practice to support clients in creating meaningful and lasting change.
My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in the belief that healing happens when we develop a deeper understanding of ourselves—both mind and body.
**I believe therapy is not about fixing what is broken, but about reconnecting with who you are beneath the stress, overwhelm, and survival strategies that life has required of you.**
